Suffering from designerism in home improvement

So, even though I have been in my house a while now, i'm still not that good at home improvement, I find myself like a designer, trying to consider every possible option, evaluating every angle of tools and material at my disposal then creating plans to execute it flawlessly in a sterile like plan of product realization where there is little chance of failure. Generally I am over thinking the situation which stifles the impulse to just get on with it.
I'm slowly starting to get over this silly rubbish way of doing things and just getting on with it. My latest, (and trust me this project took a while) is a cooker hood makeover. When I moved in, I had 25yr old almond coloured appliances which I gradually replaced by black. The last thing was the cooker hood. Funtionally the old one was fine, aesthetically not much different from todays lower end hoods, other than the fact it's an ugly almond colour. OK, F it, i'm gonna save a bit of cash and paint it myself.
Luckily I have access to a proper spray booth at work, and with some automotive paint, I managed to pull off a top notch job. It the process I managed to paint the inside a lighter shade of gray than the outside super gloss black, this added a little pizazz and enhanced the lighting inside the hood.
After striping away the old grease, priming the sanded areas, 2 coats of black, coat of clear, it turned out really nice. Perfect, no, really nice, yes.

ok, you can clap your hands now.

How to overtrain on your commute.....

overtraining you say? yes but of course and why not? it's fun and available for everyone, it makes you nice and slow in races and tired on evenings.
and now for the love of this little graph of my commute to work, tells you how exactly I over train like a looser.
